Small Lot of POW Postcards from Russian Camps. WWI
Six postcards from 1915-1918 sent from Russian POW camps to Austria. The come from the priosoner of war camps Kolcogina, Werschne Udinsk, Pjeschczanka near Tschita, Krasnbojarsk, Skobelew, Gubernov.
Russian and Austrian censor - cancellations, one with Correspondanse des Prisonniers de guerre – strike.
The Red Cross postcard is the reply part.

Ludwig Hesshaimer signed Field-Post and Philately Day Postcard
Ludwig Hesshaimer: 2 portcards, designed by Ludwig Hesshaimer one sent by Hesshaimer as fieldpost with signature and text.
The Autograph comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
The second item is a postal-card, designed by Hesshaier for the 8. Austrian Stamp Day in in Moedlig, 1929. Attached is a set oft he commemorative staps, also designed by him. The 3 Groschen-stamp is tied by a Philatelistentag Moedling - cancellation.
Both postcards are in fine condition.
Ludwig Hesshaimer (1872- 1956) was a colonel during World War 1 and official Kriegszeichner. He was fascinated by stamps all his life and became one of Austria’s most important designer for stamps, postcards and post-cards.
His cycle „Heil und Sieg"is one of his best knowm series of graphis, done during WW1 in Russian Poland.
