Boxer Rebellion Postal Card 1901

Deutsche Reichspost Feldkarte from the time of the Boxer upraise in China. Franked with a 10 and a 2 Pfennig Bstamp (Dauermarkenserie). Peking 29/5 1901 - cancellations.

Both stamps/cancellations have been verified by 3 German examiners. Right of the 10 Pfennig stamp is a small examiner stamp: Guthe, lower left corner: Kunetz (under a collector stamp Dr. H. C. Stuhlmann). A third mark is at the reverse: Kruschel. 

Scarce stamp combination, good condition.

Thailand, Siam: Vintage postcard with impressive temple.

Attached is a German 5 Pfennig Germania stamp, tied by a ship post cancellation: „Kais. Deutsche Marine Schiffspost No, 39 17. 1. 02“ Good condition.

This vessel, SMS Hertha, was a protected cruiser of the Victoria Louise class, built for the German Imperial Navy (Kaiserliche Marine) in the 1890s. Hertha served abroad in the German East Asia Squadron for the first six years of her career; she served briefly as the Squadron flagship in 1900. She contributed a landing party to the force that captured the Taku Forts during the Boxer Rebellion in 1900.

China, December 1900: Field Post cover, sent Tianjin to Strassburg. The sender was Corporal of the „Erste Ostasistischen Feld-Artillerie Regiment, Leichte Feld-Haubitzen....“ „K.D. Feldpostexped. Der Ostasischen Expeditionscorps“ - cancellation on „Leichte Feld-Haubitzen“ – strike. Scarce. Additional text in Arab at reverse. Good condition.

Antique Tianjin Postcard: Boxer-Rebellion Field-Post Paoting-Fu







Decorative old Tianjin (Tientsin) postcard with 5 small images. The postcard has been sent as field-post ( K.D. Feld-Poststation 1/3 No. 7 -
which was Paoting-fu ) to Munich.

No stamp was needed for field-post, for curiosity reason a 4 cents-coiling dragon stamp was added - party tied by the field post-cancellation. The Tientsin-strike was already on the stamp. Muenchen arrival-strike.

Fine condition.

1898: b/w postcard depicting German missionaries on the leave. German soldiers and Chinese seeing them off.







Attached is a German 10 Pfennig stamp with a China imprint, tied by a TSINTAU China 26/12 98 - cancellation. Wilhelmshaven arrival mark.

Slight wear, a few brown spots form aging at the top border.
