Austria, Israel, 1950: Postkard, „Feier anlaesslich der Ueberfuehrung der sterblichen Ueberreste Prof. Dr. Z. P. Chajes nach Israel, am 9. November 1950.“ ( Ceremony on the occasion of transferring the corpse of Prof. Dr. Z. P. Chajes to Israel on November 19th, 1950).



Mixed franking with 2 airmail stamps and additional 2 stamps at reverse.
Censor strike, fine condition.

Chajes, Zwi Perez, was Chief Rabbi in Wien.

Republic of China, W.W.II: Scarce cover sent Minhow, Fuzhou to Charlottenlund in Denmark. Franked with a 50 cents Martyr stamp. Bilingual Minhow Foochow cancellation. Opened by Nazi censors. "C" - Censor Mark at front. Scarce destination.

Sender was H. S. Kierkegaard.

WW2: Postcard to Jewish Immigrant Shanghai. Censored.

W.W.II.: 15 Pfennig Hindenburg Deutsches Reich Postcard + 2 stamps. Berlin, Air-mail to Moscow, then by train via Siberia to Shanghai, 22. 03. 1941. Red Nazi Censor - strike (Oberkommando der Wehrmacht ).




Postcard by Martha Sara Loewinsohn to Paul Wahrburg, a Jewish Gentleman who fled from the Nazi and immigrated to Shanghai. Interesting text, hard to read though since it is written rather small.

Scarce document related to Jewish refugees to China.
